He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Vail and Bertha Vail (Russell); and his brother Russell. He is survived by : his wife Peggy Black; his children, Randy Vail (Nancy) of Lake Mills and Judy Smith (Kevin) of Moline, IL; his grandchildren, Rachel Tietyen (Tyler), Jesse Vail (Lindsay) and Rebekah Flick (Landon); his great grandchildren, Audrey Mae Vail, Jaxon Randall Vail, Lauren Ellen Vail and Wren Kay Flick; his nephews, Mark Vail, Andy Vail and Craig Black; and his niece Leanne Wichus (Black).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the church.
