He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Vergin (Joe) and Kaylin Asmus (Daymon); his grandsons, Oliver, Owen and Evan; and his siblings, Robert Asmus (Lori) and Kathie Meukow. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established.
