She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Hennessey and Delores Hennessey (Verhagen); her son Juan Jesus "Johnny" Leal, Jr.; and her sister Vicki Hennessey. She is survived by: her husband John Schmalz; her daughter Jessica Garza (Ruben) of Little Chute; her granddaughters, Isabel and Alicia; and her siblings, Sharon Gascoigne (Randy) of Madison, Mary Vanden Boogard (Jeff) of Darboy, Bob Hennessey of Appleton, Janet Van Dyn (Guy), Kathy Van Toll (Russ) of Kimberly, Don Hennessey (Tara) of Clayton and Mark Hennessey (Lisa) of Little Chute. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
