He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Smith and Susan Smith (Meyer); his brother Robert Smith; and his close friend Susan Hoogland. He is survived by: his son Steven Walter Smith (Jocelyn); his granddaughter Sloane Smith; and his sister Dinah Calhoun.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gunderson Lodi Funeral & Cremation Care (157 S Main St, Lodi, WI 53555). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
