He was predeceased by: his parents, Santiago Cardenas and Corina Cardenas (Maestas); and his siblings, Terry Collins, Sennie Valerio, Jane Anderson, Teodoro and Moises.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard and Jim; his granddaughter Alicia; his great grandchild Nynaeve; and his siblings, Rosie Rivera (Richard), Priscilla Cardenas and Miguel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
