She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Barbiaux and Dorothy Barbiaux (Kohlbeck); her siblings, Maurice, Charlie, Donald, Anthony, Jonas and Dorothy Heim; and her siblings' children, Mary Lou Karnopp, Jennifer Heim and Dale Barbiaux.

She is survived by: her husband Tom Melchior; her children, Maureen Phillips (Kurt) of Suamico and Tom Melchior (Sheila) of Bonduel; her grandchildren, Gabe, Tommy, Lucy Phillips, Isaiah and Lila Melchior; and her sister Bonnie Seiler of Algoma.
