She was predeceased by: her mother Katherine Schuerman (Ehlen); her husband Norman Swanson of Joseph's Catholic Church; her sons, Steve and Danny; her granddaughter Amy; and her father Frank Schuerman.
She is survived by: her brother John Schuerman; her children, Ken Swanson (Trish Obenhein), Sue Dorn (Corky), Rick Swanson (Judy), Pat Swanson (Deb), Joe Swanson (Katie) and Laurie Jensen (Dan); and her grandchildren, Justin, Christopher, Joe, Jake, Angi, Nick, Joel, Lauren, Ryan, Christian, Jeremiah, Lucas and Emily. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; extended family; and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (1540 Mill St, Lyons, WI 53148). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:50 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the St. Charles Cemetery (900 W State St, Burlington, WI 53105).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Charles Borromeo of Burlington or St. Joseph Catholic Church of Lyons in Norman and Dorothy's memory.
