He was predeceased by: his father Timothy McLafferty. He is survived by: his mother Mary McLafferty of Salem; his wife Donna Epping; his children, Drew of Lyons, Chad of Lyons and Shae of Lyons; and his sister Colleen Peyron (Todd) of Salem. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to the Lake Geneva Food Pantry.
