With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas R. Bartelson of Lyons, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Bartelson and Mildred Bartelson; and his siblings, Betty LeMere (Joe), Donald Bartelson (Lois), Nancy Schreiderer (Willard), Sally Osborne (Clay) and Barbara Holcombe (Max).

He is survived by: his wife Sally Madsen; his sons, Timothy Bartelson (Donna), Richard Bartelson (Randi), David Bartelson (Michelle), Michael Bartelson (Joy) and Paul Bartelson (Annelle); his grandchildren, Brett Bartelson (Amanda), Kate Bartelson, Liz Kitterman (Alex), Calvin Irek, Anel Rivadeneyra, Alexa Rivadeneyra, Matthew Bartelson, Alicia Bartelson, Evan Bartelson, Kyle Bartelson, Erin Bartelson, Shannon Bartelson and Sophia Bartelson; his great grandchildren, Magnolia, Vincent, Edwin Bartelson and Parker Kitterman; and his sister Joy Powell (John).

Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (417 S Kane St, Burlington, WI 53105). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Burlington.
