He was predeceased by: his parents, Laird Ross and Alice Ross (Alden); his former wife Nancy Lee Weeks; his grandson Ted; and his sisters, Sylvia Anderson and Nancy Marino.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Ross-Henning (Mark Henning), Viki Bergie (Lawrence "Bud") and Pete Ross (Terri); his grandchildren, Amy (John), Alex (Elaine), Reed, Nick, Brian, Kevin and Max; his fiancée Sarah Vaillancourt; and his siblings-in-law, Don Anderson (Beverly), Ron Marino (Mary Beth), Vickie Martin (Colby) and Chris Baker (John). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Pete may donate in his name to a scholarship fund for collegebound East High students through the Milton McPike Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund at the Madison Public Schools Foundation.
