We are sad to announce that on June 19, 2025, at the age of 98, Anton Samuel Arneson Jr. of Madison, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton S. Arneson and Agnes Arneson (Grimstad); and his siblings, Phillip, Theodore, Carl, Rebecca and Barbara.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Grady Ellis; his children, James C. Arneson (Bonnie), Julia A. Wert (Lawrence), Sara A. Benedett (Steven) and Anton S. "Tony" Arneson III (Sue); his grandchildren, Ashley Keough (Jon), Kathryn Cronin (Tom), Kristina Moheban (Matthew), Sara Elizabeth Wert, Charles D. Wert (Alicia), Julia G. Benedett, Ethan Nils Arneson, Livia C. Arneson, Jane, Sam Cronin, Madeline and Josie Moheban; and also, Jordan, Jaxon and Jameson Keough.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (312 Wisconsin Ave, Madison, WI 53703). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Attic Angel Association, Agrace HospiceCare or Bethel Lutheran Church.
