He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Strassenburg and Wilhemine "Minna" Techter; his siblings, Frank, Walter, Ellen and Ruth; his former wife Louise; and his daughter Sandra.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffery Strassenburg, Gary Strassenburg, Lee Shanahan (Lucas Dailey) and Sean Strassenburg (Laura Donnelly); his grandchildren, Sara, Avery, Ellie, Saoirse and Sylvain; and his former wife Helen Pan. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
