It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonna Kay Nelson in Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roger C. Nelson; her sister Valerie Vyn-Coleman; and her siblings-in-law, Theodore Nelson and Florence Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Bruce (Cheryl Nelson), Sue (Dennis Rokos), Dirk (Karla Nelson), Sarah (Jeff Howells) and Dale (Amy Nelson); her grandchildren, Doug Avery, Blair Culbreth, Dora, John Hutchins, Samantha Rokos, Timothy Rokos, Erik, Ashlee Nelson, Kristin Nelson, Clare, Marvin Tsang, Trevor Howells, Julie Howells, Hannah Nelson and Jack Nelson; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Kaden and Luke Nelson; and her siblings, Michelle Carlson and Jon Vyn.
In lieu of flowers, remember Kay by reading or donating a book, supporting a local performance or visual arts group, or just take a walk in the woods and enjoy the beauty of nature.
