He was predeceased by: his mother Lori Kunkel (Reingardt); his grandparents, Earl, Irene Kunkel, Harold Reingardt, Don and Shirley Oakland; his uncle Barry Kunkel; his aunts, Sherry Bute and Kathy Charnstrom; and his nephew Jerry Kunkel.
He is survived by: his father Larry Kunkel; his stepmother Dana; his sister Lyndsay Estes of Dickson; his children, Hunter and Serenity; and his stepgrandparents, Raymond and Biruta Ditrichs. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Finch Funeral Home (310 Oak St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Brandon's memory can be made to WisCares, the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine community veterinary clinic for families experiencing low income and/or homelessness (http://www.wiscares.wisc.edu) or to a mental health charity of choice.
