He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Wermich and Marion Wermich; his stepfather William Rust; his sister Marilyn; his siblings-in-law, Marsh Hanks and Kathy Brandt; and his in-laws, William and Jean Cencic.

He is survived by: his wife Paula; his children, Matt Wermich (Jess Morrison) and Stephanie O'Rourke; his grandchildren, Aiden Wermich, Lilianna and Lucy O'Rourke; his sister Cynthia; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Campbell and Ed Brandt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
