She was predeceased by: her parents, William R. Dawson and Clara M. Dawson; her siblings, Christina Conley and Robert; and her nephew David E. Conley.

She is survived by: her sibling's children, Robert T. Conley of Maine and Jean Carolyn Conley (Mark W. Kontos) of Virginia; and her great-niece Stephanie Christina Smith (David B. Daniel) of Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carolyn's memory may be made to organizations that work directly to improve the health and well-being of children and their families.
