Charles Phillip Casey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Phillip Casey of Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 21, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Charles departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Charles leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Charles and Hildagarde Temmeyer Casey; and his brother John Michael. He is survived by: his wife Martha Link; his daughter Jennifer; his brother Thomas; and his brothers-in-law, Perry and Bruce Link. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
Chuck would urge any donations be directed to the UW-Madison Department of Chemistry fund that he established to aid in recruiting and retaining especially qualified chemistry graduate students and recognizing their research accomplishments.
