We are sad to announce that on July 1, 2025, at the age of 77, Charles Phelan of Madison, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Charles is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Charles' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard L. Phelan and Dorothy M. Phelan. He is survived by: his wife Barb Hartmann; and his siblings, Maureen Fisher of Madison, Mary Baron of Aurora, IL, Patty Reimer (Tom) of Greenville, Rich (Celeste) of Aurora, IL and Tim (Joan) of Rhinelander. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the CDT Ryan Funeral Home - Madison West (6728 Mader Dr, Madison, WI 53719). A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Ryan Funeral Legacy Center (6728 Mader Dr, Madison, WI 53719). The military honors was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the CDT Ryan Funeral Home - Madison West (6728 Mader Dr, Madison, WI 53719).
