He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Simmet; his siblings, Richard Haack (Debbie) and Barbara Buxton; his siblings-in-law, Mark Simmet (Jean) and Diane Schwartz (John); and his nieces and nephews, Christopher Buxton (Allison), Gregory Buxton, Jeremy Haack (Nicole), Donald Simmet, Ethan Schwartz (Anna Frenger), Adam Schwartz (Xia), Abby Hensler (Michael), Carlee Brooks (Scott) and Willa Simmet (Kay Guyer).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James School of Madison or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
