He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Lorch and Edna Lorch (Neitzel); his wife Patricia Ann (Cox); and his sister Sharon Finck. He is survived by: his siblings, Duane D. Lorch and Sandra K. Steffen; and his stepchildren, Candi Wiedenbeck, Sandy Morris, Jerry Harrington (Jean), Shari Friedrichs (David) and Wilfred "Freddie" Harrington. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ryan Funeral Home (2418 N Sherman Ave, Madison, WI 53704). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
