He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin and Alice (Olsen); and his siblings, Erwin, Roger and Eunice Lythjohan.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Schwenn; his daughters, Sandra Lieske (Steve) and Lynn Finley (Daniel); his grandchildren, Shannon Niehoff (James), Devin and Colleen Finley; his stepgrandsons, Tim and Michael Lieske; and his sister Joyce Bauer (Merwyn). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
