He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur T. Spangler and Frances H. Spangler (Montague) of Richland Center; his granddaughter Reenee Spangler; his son Lyle Spangler; and his former wife Karen S. Fowell.
He is survived by: his children, Allison Ewing, Taylor Spangler (Jaycee), Neal Spangler (Jocelyn Storer), Nathan Spangler (Elizabeth) and Abigail Spangler (Brad Erickson); his brother Ken Spangler (Meg); and his grandchildren, Ayden, Austin, Kiera, Elia, Josie, Nellie, Uriah, Simon and Greta. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stafford Funeral Home (1235 US-14, Richland Center, WI 53581). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. They brought a lot of joy to his last few years and served as a social outlet following the COVID-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #13.
