He was predeceased by : his parents, Herbert Mittelstaedt and Carol Mittelstaedt; and also Roy Downing. He is survived by : his siblings, Lynn Coates (Frederick), Avis Cull, Alan Mittelstaedt (Sheila), Victor Mittelstaedt (Mary) and Lois Schneider (Brian); and his nieces and nephews, Deanna Hinderman, Roger Coates, Jesse, David Cull, Erik Mittelstaedt and Noah Schneider. He is also survived by many cousins and second cousins.
