He is survived by: his close friend Avis Dalton; his children, Darcy Stoddard (Kevin) of Rio, Randy Swan (Pam) of Wisconsin Dells and Stephanie Bentzen (David) of West Salem; his niece Jacquelyn Cassidy; his grandchildren, Lacy Pflieger (Hans), Shauna Paul (Marcus), Thomas Connell (Natalie), David Whitehorse (Hali), Andrea Connell, Carley Whitehorse (Tim), Samuel Connell (Cassie), Madison Swan (Kyle) and Stevie Dahm (Jacob); Barb Dott (David) and Tim Braaksma (Sherry). He is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ryan Funeral Home (2418 N Sherman Ave, Madison, WI 53704).
