He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen P. Pastick; and his close friend Joe Stoff. He is survived by: his cousin James Fraser of Chambersburg, PA; his close friend Mark Winzenried (Annette); Steve Pastick of St. Paul, MN, Christopher Pastick of Sparta, WI, Matt Pastick of Two Harbors, MN, Jon Pastick (Lisa) of Lindstrom, MN, Dan Pastick (Heidi) of Ketchum, ID and Tim Pastick (Cheryl) of Vadnais Heights, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Cress Funeral & Cremation Service - Madison (3610 Speedway Rd, Madison, WI 53705). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (2705 Regent St, Madison, WI 53705).
In lieu of flowers, Gary would ask people to consider sending donations in his name to the UW Athletic Department.
