She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Birky and Katie Anna Birky; her sister-in-law Mary Birky; and her parents-in-law, Henry and Sarah Beachey.
She is survived by: her siblings, Janice Eckels, Dwight Birky (Mary Lou) and Judi Gulotta; her siblings-in-law, Dale Beachey (Verda), Jeanie Harris (Wayne), Ruth Moreland (Tony) and Carly Derstine (Brian); her husband Duane Beachey; her daughters, Carissa Christner (Jay) and Sarah Snider (Shawn); and her grandchildren, Colin, Luke Snider, Gabriel and Isadora Christner. She is also survived by married to my then husband's cousin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Immigrant Justice Center or American Gateways – two organizations that help and protect immigrants, a cause about which Gloria cared deeply.
