It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grant James Makovec (Madison, Wisconsin), who passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 12, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, David Makovec and Jen O'Leary; his brother Emmett; his pet Sir Reginald Bananas; his grandparents, Dennie O'Leary, Fred Heisler, Barbara and Scoop Makovec; his aunts and uncles, Vicki Whildin (John), Maggie Wojcik (Matt), Megan O'Leary, Shannon O'Leary (Steve Jackson), Katy O'Leary (Ryan Lynes), Claire O'Leary (Paul Pickens), Paul Makovec (Bree) and Josh Johnson; and his cousins, Liam, Evan, Julia, Morgan, Erin, Ben, Madelyn, Andy, Jack, Henry, Grace, Trace, Ripley, Sylvan, Colby, Tess, Logan and Will.
