It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen A. Matthews of Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 24, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen A. Matthews to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Barger and Anne Barger (Lamey); her husband Timothy T. Matthews; her siblings, John, Emmett, Raymond, Evelyn, Margaret and Mary; and her grandson Robert Janus.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy J. Matthews of Madison, Gregory J. Matthews M. D. (Denise) and Maria Lawrence (Wayman) of Madison; her grandchildren, Sophie Janus of Madison, Desmond Lawrence of Minneapolis, MN, Michael, Anna, Sarah Matthews of Mequon, WI and Cody Matthews of Madison; and her siblings, Edward Barger (Barbara), Roger Barger (Jennifer), Lois Bradley (Richard) and Kathleen Rowley (Charles). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Edgewood High School.
