He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lins and Mary Lins (Reik); his stepmother Anna Hetzel Lins; his wife Velma Meyer; his son Dennis; his son-in-law Joseph Klun; his grandchildren, Melissa Denu, Christopher Klar and Nathan Klun; his siblings, Genevieve Lins (Marilyn), Colleta Hying (Elmer), Gertrude Korbach (Joe), Rita Richard (Dorman), Gerald, Eugene (Colleen), LeRoy, Paul, Roman (Fran), Harold, Reginald, Fred "Fritz" and Michael Lins (Betty Jo); and his fathers-in-law, William Rooney, Wesley Meyer (Laura), Merton Meyer, Norman Meyer, Ernest Meyer (Mildred) and Elmer Jr. Meyer (Dorothy).
He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Esser (John), Linda Lins, Janice Klar (Mike), Mary Sue Klun and Lisa Denu (Richard); his siblings, Lucy Rooney, Arlene Meise (Steven) and David Lins (Carol); and his sisters-in-law, Glenda Lins, Karen Lins and Kathy Lins. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Academy or the St. Francis Xavier Endowment Fund.
