He was predeceased by : his parents, Alwin Williams and Edith Williams (Young); his wife Doris Williams (Johnson) of Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church; his brothers, Bob, Duane, Stanley and Bill Williams; and his granddaughter Melissa Sumner.

He is survived by : his daughters, Diane Monroe and Patricia Sumner (Jim); his grandsons, James Sumner IV (Ann), Aaron Johnson (Beth) and Andrew Johnson; his great grandchildren, Eden, James, Jack, Noah and Aveah; and his brother John Williams (Jo). He is also survived by sisters-in-law and brother-in-law.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care (5203 Monona Dr, Monona, WI 53716). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Roselawn Memorial Park (401 Femrite Dr, Monona, WI 53716).
