He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Doreen; his children, John Dave Balun (Elly) of Kingsville, Michelle Lynn Ritchie (Christopher) of Chatham and Michael Edward; his sister Doris; his brother-in-law Al Jordan; his parents, Peter Balun and Mary Balun (Hribnak); and his parents-in-law, Eddie and Roxie Watson.
