John Robert Sauer Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 12, 2026, at the age of 68, John Robert Sauer of Madison, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Sauer and Jeanne Sauer (Fisher); and his brother Jim Sauer. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Ann Potter; his children, Jacob Sauer (Lindsey) of Denver, Colo, Carolyn Sauer of Chicago and Joel Sauer (Brittni) of Waunakee, Wis.; his grandchildren, Sophie, Jack, Charlotte and Carter; and his siblings, Dave (Nancy) of Green Bay, Mary of Prescott and Tom (Debbie) of Carlsbad, Calif.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
