It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Marie Espelien of Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Heuser and Ella Heuser (Richmueller); her husband Emrick Espelien; her son James Steven Espelien; and her siblings, Henry Heuser, Arlene Owens (Alfred), Janice Geier (Julius), Esther Hayes (Jim), Donald Heuser (Gloria), Frederick Heuser (Ludell) and Wilfred Heuser (Sally).
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Crooker (David); her grandchildren, Melissa Katherine and William David (Rachel); and her great grandchildren, Cora, Leo Crooker and Adalynn Crooker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
