Lawrence Paul Schmit Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on March 29, 2022, at the age of 81, Lawrence Paul Schmit of Madison, Wisconsin, born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Schmit and Elizabeth "Betty" Schmit (McDonald); his brother William "Bill" (Ann); and his nibling Terry. He is survived by: his wife Linda Lewis; his children, Brad of Madison and Leslie Land (Mike) of Waunakee; his grandson Ryan Land of Cleveland, Ohio; and his brothers, Tom (Joan) and Norb. He is also survived by nephew; and three nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Madison Public Schools (fmps.org) or Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin (alzwisc.org.) A service will be held for family at a future date.
