He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Abel and Augusta Abel (Schultz); and his sons, Eugene and Douglas Abel. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Heiking; his sons, Garry Abel (Tammy Henry), Rodney Abel (Debra) and Jason Abel (Rita); his daughters-in-law, Marion Evenson and Sue Abel; and his sister Florence. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice in Leo's honor.
