He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Flansburgh and Anna Flansburgh (Heller); his parents-in-law, Dorothy and Carl Linde; his siblings, Patricia Flansburgh, Caroline Schmidt (Vincent), Elizabeth Ward (Clinton) and Robert Flansburgh (Evelyn); and his daughters, Linda "Flansy" and Sandra Lee.

He is survived by: his wife Jean; his daughter LeAnn Acker (Scotty); his grandsons, Elliott, Harvey and Charlie; his brother Paul Flansburgh (Matilda); his son-in-law Joe Pulvermacher; and his brother-in-law Ken Linde (Denise). He is also survived by 14 nieces and 5 nephews.
