He was predeceased by: his brothers, Daniel and Jaime. He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his children, Jasmin, Orlando (Roberta), Yolanda, Angelina (Ben), Alejandra (Dan) and Alba (Matt); and his brother Luis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
To honor Mario, a scholarship fund has been created with the Madison Public Schools Foundation (https://schoolsmakemadison.org) and a Celebration of Life will be held at Olbrich Botanical Gardens, 3330 Atwood Ave., Madison, on Sunday, May 3, 2026.
