He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Castle and Josepha Castle (Patterson); his brothers, Leo and Pat; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Sobek and Glen Lee.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Anne Sobek and Sally Lee; his nieces and nephews, Steve Sobek (Carol), Jeff Sobek, Nadia Lee (Sean Mallary), Anna DiMenna (Tim), Erin Sobek, Diane Sobek, Sandy Sobek and Leslie (Joe); and his close friend Bill Koberstein.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care (5203 Monona Dr, Monona, WI 53716). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the same location.
