We announce the death of Michael James Hommel of Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Hommel and Nioma Elizabeth Stuart (Taylor); his sisters, Lillian Conway and Betty Joyce Walker; and his grandmother Avis Gimel.
He is survived by: his spouse Scott Penney; and his siblings, Martha Colbert, Elizabeth "Del" Harris, Karen Rackard, Melanie Rolin and Robert "Bobby" Hommel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
