He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond McDowell and Rose McDowell (Promenschenkel); his wife Rose Mary Davenport; his siblings, Patrick McDowell, Katherine and Sandra Kay; and his siblings-in-law, Douglas, Kenneth, David, Grant, Beverly, Gerry and Donna.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tonya Pertzborn (Don) and Trisha McDowell; his grandchildren, Brittany Olson (Ethan), Zachary McDowell, Garrett Pertzborn and Dontel McDaniel; his siblings, Terri Thomas, Danna Groom and Dennis McDowell; and his siblings-in-law, John Davenport (Peg) and Jean Maijala (Ray).
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cress Funeral & Cremation Service - Sun Prairie (1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI 53590). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM.
