It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Zschernitz in Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Michael Zschernitz to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Zschernitz and Rose Zschernitz (Meissner); and his brothers, Doug and Randall Zschernitz. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Michlig; his siblings, Jeffrey Zschernitz of Marshfield, Linda Kumm (Lee) of Spencer, Cheryl Vick (Don) of Stratford, Sandra Hill (Keith) of Marshfield, Tammy Handrick (Tom) of Marshfield and Tim Zschernitz (Carol) of Granton; and his sister-in-law Mary Jo Zschernitz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Marshfield High School boys and girls golf teams to honor Michael's passion for golf.
