He was predeceased by: his parents, Mel Beerntsen and Theresa Beerntsen (Walczyk); Herman and Clarice Theisen (Moser). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Beerntsen (Theisen); his siblings, Mark Beerntsen, Mary Webb (Pat) and Brenda Beerntsen; and his in-laws, Joe Theisen, Dick Theisen, Harry, Joanne Theisen, Jeanne, Jerry Russell, Denny, Mary Theisen, Steve Wolf, Beth, Roy Aycock, Tom and Kathy Theisen. He is also survived by 32 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
