He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Smith and Joyce Smith (Shea); his wife Lois L. Smith; his stepdaughters, Gail Montague and Janet Lovick; his sons-in-law, Ronnie Meister and Terry Harmon; and his siblings, John, David, Ruth and Mary.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Cynthia Meister of Sun Prairie, WI and Susan Montague (Rob Sommer) of Davidson, NC; and his brother Ralph (Carol). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
