He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Meland and Olive Meland (Greve); and his brothers, Marius and Norman Meland. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Kluth; his daughters, DeAnne "Dee Dee" Blount (William) and Marie "Mimi" Meland; his grandchildren, Sydney Schaibley (Randy) and Maxwell Blount; his brother Naymen Meland; his niece Debra DeSmidt (Dave); his nephew Donald Meland (Wally Layton); and his great-nephew James Meland (Emily).
