He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Brethouwer-Dutton and Dorothy Brethouwer-Dutton (Washburn); and his stepfather Harold Dutton. He is survived by: his spouse Lynn Blankenheim; his sons, Greg Brethouwer of Westminster, CO and Brad Brethouwer (Becki) of DeForest, WI; his grandsons, Mason and Joe Brethouwer of DeForest, WI; and his former wife Lynn Brethouwer of Sun Prairie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
