She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice Emily Coplien (Pinnow) and Earl Melvin Coplien. She is survived by: her husband Thomas; her daughters, Debra Zentner (Robin Eric) and Barb Stenger (Don); her granddaughters, Sara Zentner and Michelle Malsack; her siblings, Dorothy Wire (Alvin) and Kurt Coplien (Jane); her sisters-in-law, Nancy Coplien (Rolland) and Carol Coplien (Richard); and her siblings' children, Julie Joint, Karin Mingus (Shawn) and Jeff Nordyke.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis' memory to the American Diabetes Association.
