“Over the years Coach Bob has become like part of our family. We spent a lot of time together riding back and forth to Tyrol to go to Snowboard team. We learned and shared a lot about our families. Bob was one of the most thoughtful, caring, yet reserved people I have ever met. He treated everyone on the team like he wanted them to succeed as well as brought humor to the ones who were nervous. Bob and my son Carter became best buds. While I don’t snowboard, Bob would call/text to find out if my son could “play” aka. board together. He took extra time with my son, and they had fun doing it, they understood each other’s strengths and weaknesses. While I have only known him for 4 short years he has made a large impact on our family but mostly Carter. Making plans with us to go fishing, boating and hiking trips in the upcoming months, I know Bob was not ready to go. I can only hope Carter enjoys snowboarding as much as he did before without his best buddy (and biggest supporter) by his side. Rest In Peace. Aardvark will miss you.”

“I had the honor of having Coach Bobby as my soccer coach for three years at Madison West High School. He was incredibly dedicated and passionate about soccer and he truly cared about every single player. He made sure to connect with each one of us through humor, which made the team an welcoming community. He always challenged us to do our best at practice and spent endless hours preparing drills. I remember him coming early to practice every day, bringing his guitar, and playing it for us as we got ready. He was well organized and made sure that we all became better players. I offer my sincerely condolences to Coach Bobby's family and friends. He truly brought joy to the world and he will be sincerely missed.”
