He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Harris and Arlyne Harris (Maas); and his brother Edward Harris. He is survived by: his brother Donald "Hondo" Harris (Dorrie); his nephew Dustin Harris (Suzie Cownie); and his great-niece Elara Harris. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Porchlight and Agrace Hospice of Madison.
