Robert J. Stalder Obituary
We announce the death of Robert J. Stalder in Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 79. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodro Wilson Stalder and Lillie Marie Stalder (Gerber); his sister Jeanne Lydia Bates; his parents-in-law, Roger and Vivian Holten; his uncle Darrel Stalder; and his aunt Eureva Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Stalder (Holten); his daughters, Abigail Halloran (Daniel) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Stalder; his grandchildren, Connor and Lillian Halloran; and his siblings-in-law, Vicki Holten (Steve Schoenberger), Larry Holten (Pam), Mark Holten, Brian Holten (Lynne) and William Bates. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ (2401 Atwood Ave, Madison, WI 53704). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
