He was predeceased by: his parents, Doug Rittenhouse and Mary Rittenhouse (Adams); his brothers, Steven and Stuart Rittenhouse; and his former wife Leslie Monsees.

He is survived by: his nieces, Jenny and Jolene; his daughter Stephanie Rittenhouse (Alban Crook) of Des Moines, IA; his brothers, Jim Rittenhouse (Debbie) of Campbellsport, WI, Daryl Rittenhouse (Kristine) of Oregon, WI and Robert Rittenhouse of Madison, WI; his sister-in-law Michele Rittenhouse of Cottage Grove, WI; his stepson Sean Monsees; and his pets, Kalista, Kyle and Kaspian. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
